MARGARITA B. MENDEZ Peacefully on Monday, May 5, 2003, Margarita passed away at Seven Oaks General Hospital at the age of 83. Margarita will be lovingly remembered by her husband Primo; her children, Maura, Carmen (Ding) Volante, Romeo, deceased (Ester), Melinda, Rose (Romy) Suban, Naty (Mikel) Magnusson and Christine; grandchildren, Raciel, Rommel, Ronnie, Rowell, Dexter, JR, Allan, Christian and Isabelle; nephew Ros (Pacit) and children, Neil and Madeline. Nanay Rita was born in Makati, Philippines on February 22, 1920. She will be fondly remembered by her brothers and sisters, numerous relatives and friends in Makati and San Pedro, Philippines and in Winnipeg. Nanay Rita was a loving and caring wife, mother and lola. She was self-giving, always considering her familys needs first. Lamay will be held on Thursday, May 8 and Friday, May 9 between 6:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m. at St. Edwards Roman Catholic Church at 836 Arlington St. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 10 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Edwards Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Vic Tungol officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
